Orchard weeding is an important measure for the daily maintenance of orchards. Due to the excessive harm of herbicides, Orchard mower has become the mainstream of orchard weeding. At present, the tools used for mechanical weeding mainly include micro-tillers, straw return machines and Orchard mower: micro-tillers are small in size, low in cost, but low in efficiency, and are not suitable for modern large-scale orchards; It has high weed efficiency and good weeding effect, which is very popular with fruit farmers. However, with the spread of the concept of grass cultivation in the orchard, the shortcomings of the straw return machine that greatly damage the herbs and soil have been exposed. 1. Orchard mower increases the soil organic matter content in the park
Orchards without grasses use chemical fertilizers all the year round, causing soil to harden, acid-base imbalance, and fertility decline. The green manure crops in the orchard are rich in organic matter after growing grass, which can improve the physical and chemical properties of the soil, reduce the soil bulk density, increase the soil water permeability and water holding capacity, and improve the soil fertility. According to measurements, the organic matter content of the cultivated layer soil increased by 0.6% on average by planting Vetch for 5 consecutive years.
2. Orchard mower loosens the soil and increases the fertility supply capacity of the soil

5. Improving the microclimate environment of the orchard

6. Improve fruit quality
Due to the increase of air humidity and temperature difference between day and night, the content of soluble solids and Vc in the grass orchard increases, the sugar content increases, the single fruit weight and the commercial fruit rate increase, and the fruit hardness and storability are also improved.
Although it is better to grow grass in the orchard, it is not possible to let the grass grow wildly. The grass is too long. Orchard management is inconvenient. The grass and the fruit tree also compete for fertilizer. The fertilizer is absorbed by the grass, which is not good for the growth of the fruit tree.
